§ Sir George YoungThe total value of new schemes in Liverpool approved by the Housing Corporation in 1983–84 was £16.4 million. An additional £5.63 million was provided by the Secretary of State for the corporation's approved development programme to cover the cost of certain projects to be undertaken in Merseyside and at least £2.65 million of that is expected to be spent on schemes in Liverpool.
Allocations for next year have not yet been made by the Housing Corporation.
