(2) if he will introduce legislation to extend the ambit of the air travel reserve fund to include protection for those travelling on package tours by surface transport.
§ Mr. David MitchellWe are monitoring the position of the air travel reserve fund in the light of payments to be made following the collapse of the Laker group but there does not appear to be a need at present to top it up by reintroducing a levy on air travel organisers. Nor are there any plans to extend the coverage of the Fund to other kinds of holidaymaker.
