§ Mr. Ottawayasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what work is being done in the United Kingdom, the European Community and the United Nations on the issue of the reduction of intolerance between racial groups that have unfavourable stereotypes of each other.
§ Mr. WaddingtonA general objective of reducing intolerance by the promotion of respect and understanding between persons of different ethnic groups is either implicit or explicit in a wide range of activity both in this country and abroad, but I am not aware of any current work specifically related to the reduction of intolerance based upon unfavourable stereotypes.
