§ Mr. Marlowasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will take action to persuade the Government of the United States of America to accept the abrogation of the Israel-Lebanon agreement of 17 May and its replacement by proposals acceptable to all parties within the region.
§ Mr. LuceThe decisions taken by the parties at the Geneva talks do not mention abrogation of the Israel-Lebanon agreement. We welcomed the agreement between Israel and Lebanon at the time in so far as it540W represented a commitment by Israel fully to withdraw her forces from Lebanon. But we would naturally not object to alternative arrangements which had the agreement of all parties and which led to the early and full withdrawal of all foreign forces from Lebanon.
