HC Deb 08 November 1983 vol 48 cc61-6W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people were on the waiting lists for inpatient treatment at National Health Service hospitals at the end of 1981 and at the end of 1982 in each district health authority area.

Mr. John Patten

The number of persons on the waiting list for inpatient treatment at National Health Service hospitals on 30 September 1982, the latest available date, in each district health authority is as follows, together with comparative information for 30 September 1981 where available.

The increase in numbers over this period reflects the consequences of industrial action in the Health Service in 1982.
