asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) how many peripatetic remedial teachers were employed by the various education and library boards in the years 1981–82, 1982–83 and 1983 to date;

(2) how many children from outside the Belfast education and library board area were receiving special remedial teaching in schools under the board's control in the years 1981–82, 1982–83 and 1983 to date;

(3) how many children were recommended for special remedial teaching by the educational psychologists in the various education and library boards for the years 1981–82, 1982–83 and 1983 to date;

(4) how many children were receiving special remedial teaching in the last year of which figures are available in the five education and library boards;

(5) how many children recommended for special remedial teaching are on the waiting list and not receiving such teaching under the Belfast education and library board.
