§ Mr. WaldegraveThe salaries of non-executive members of regional water authorities will be within the range £3,000 to £5,000 a year. Non-executive members designated as deputy chairmen will receive a total salary of up to £7,500. Actual amounts payable are still being settled, and will depend on the allocation of responsibilities to individuals.
Full-time executives have been appointed to board membership at the same salary as they formerly earned as employees. They range from £32,611 to £40,635. Chairmen's salaries range from £16,500 to £32,000.
