§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe most recently available figures for perinatal mortality in England by regional health authority and social class are for 1980 and were published in OPCS Monitor DH3 82/3. Similar figures for 1981 are expected to he published early next year. Scandinavian countries do not issue perinatal mortality data for social class.
Mrs. RenéeShort asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the private maternity clinics in which births are registered as having taken place in the last year for which figures are available by regional health authority with the number of such births for each establishment and the perinatal mortality rate for each such establishment, by region and nationality.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeInformation about private maternity clinics is not held centrally in the form requested, but preliminary information on private institutions with maternity beds on 31 December 1982 is given in the table.
