HC Deb 04 November 1983 vol 47 cc467-8W
Mr. Hickmet

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what economic and other assistance south Wales and north Wales have received both directly and indirectly from central Government to regenerate their respective economies since 1979.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

Both areas have received assistance through regional development grants and selective financial assistance, programmes of infrastructure development including road construction and factory building, urban programme and European Community schemes and, in general, the work of agencies within Wales with a remit to develop the economic potential of the Principality.
