§ Mr. NewtonThis Department does not collect information in the form requested. Returns are made of the numbers of children under 16 on local authority handicap registers. The latest published figures are for 31 March 1980 and are contained in "Registers of Handicapped Persons" (A/F80/14) and "Registered Blind and Partially Sighted Persons" (A/F80/7), copies of which are in the Library of the House.
