§ Mr. Peter Morrison[pursuant to his reply, 2 November 1983, c. 397]: Of the 3,310 young people who left school in the 1982–83 academic year, and whose whereabouts were known to the careers service on 1 November, 357 were unemployed and 164 16-year-olds had not yet received an offer of a youth training scheme place.
