Mr. John MacKay

A number of retailers in Scotland have introduced voluntary arrangements to restrict or discourage the sale of solvents to young people.

My hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Security is to have discussions with representatives of the retailers as is indicated in his reply of today's date to my hon. Friend the Member for Dorset, North (Mr. Baker). I shall be in close contact with my hon. Friend about the outcome of these discussions.
