§ Mr. AncramThe Scottish equivalent of a board of visitors is the visiting committee to which a governor may, with the approval of the Secretary of State, report an offence against prison discipline for adjudication. The following table shows the number of adjudications by the visiting committee for each Scottish penal establishment in the last three years. The total number of inmates involved is shown in brackets.
