asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the alleged refugees from Vietnam who have landed in Hong Kong will in due course be able to claim entry into the United Kingdom as Hong Kong citizens.

The dependencies do not have separate citizenships. The acquisition of British dependent: territories citizenship in a dependency is a matter for the authorities of that country. Entry to the United Kingdom for those subject to control under the Immigration Act: 1971 is governed by the published immigration rules—House of Commons Paper 169.
