HL Deb 12 May 1983 vol 442 c706WA
Baroness Cox

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are yet able to give any indication as to when the Nurses and Midwives Review Body will be formally established, its composition and scope announced, and the date on which it is to start on the task entrusted to it, bearing in mind that the current nurses' pay settlement runs only until 31st March 1984.

Lord Trefgarne

The Government have been considering the substantial volume of comments arising from its consultation document setting out proposals for the review body. Our proposals envisage that the review body will be established in time to produce its first report by April 1984, and we hope to make an announcement shortly after the new Parliament assembles.
