HC Deb 12 May 1983 vol 42 c489W
Mr. Mudd

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many vacancies have been created in the Falmouth-Camborne-Hayle special development area since the introduction of the job release scheme.

Mr. Alison

I regret that the information is not available in the form requested. Detailed statistics on coverage are not held on a cumulative basis below regional level. However, 19,504 people have taken advantage of the scheme in the south west region of the employment division of the the Manpower Services Commission since the scheme was introduced on 3 January 1977. Some 7,566 people within the region are currently receiving payments of the job release allowance; 132 are in the office areas covered by the jobcentres at Camborne, Falmouth and Hayle.
