§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasInformation on the number of pupils entitled to free school meals is not available centrally. The number of pupils in maintained schools in mid-Glamorgan who received a free school meal on 24 September 1982, the latest census date, was 16,605. The corresponding figure for all maintained schools in Wales is 76,276.
