§ The Solicitor-GeneralThe eighth annual report of the Lay Observer was published and laid before Parliament on 28 April. The report drew attention to certain proposals for legislation and some which will require consultation between Departments. These are under consideration. There was no general allegation of maladministration or neglect on the part of solicitors, and the professional conduct of solicitors is, in any case, a matter for the Law Society.
