§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what are the rates of pay of members of the Metropolitan police in the ranks of (a) inspector and (b) sergeant.
§ Mr. MayhewAnnual basic pay ranges from £9,369 to £10,749 for sergeants and from £11,328 to £12,789 for inspectors. In addition, all members of the Metropolitan police are paid London weighting of £762 a year and a London allowance of £1,011 a year.
