§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe common fisheries policy agreement broght to a close a period of uncertainty for the fishing industry and is establishing a base upon which the242W industry can plan for the future. Proposals for restructuring, and the management of national quotas, are still under consideration; decisions will be taken in consultation with the industry. The substantial aid provided by the Government over the last three years illustrates their commitment to fishing.
