§ Sir Walter Cleggasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether the European Commission has completed the procedure provided for in article 93(2) of the European Community Treaty in respect of the 1980 and 1981 fishing vessel temporary support schemes.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe Commission has adopted a decision declaring that the two schemes are incompatible with the common market within the meaning of article 92 of the EEC Treaty and that such subsidies must accordingly no longer be granted.
In fact all payments have been completed under these schemes.
