§ 17. Mr. Watsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he is satisfied with the effectiveness of the types of measures being taken to increase the conservation of energy in buildings such as hospitals and schools.
§ Mr. LawsonIt is estimated that energy consumption in hospitals has been effectively reduced by 20 per cent. over the past 10 years. A recent survey indicates only small average savings in schools and other local authority buildings; and I am bringing the scope for savings to the attention of all local authority chief executives.
