§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the replies of 15 February, Official Report, c. 137, when he now expects to publish the revised guidance on the payment, management and use of hospital patients' money: and if he will now publish the report of the Rayner scrutiny team on the payment of social security benefits to people in hospital and long-term residential care.
§ Mr. RossiWe hope to be able to issue the revised guidance for consultation in July. The draft report of the Rayner scrutiny team on benefits to those in hospital and residential care is complex and lengthy, and we are still considering its recommendations. We do not propose to publish it, but no major changes of policy or procedure will be made without appropriate prior consultation.
