§ Mr. Wakeham[pursuant to the reply, 28 April 1983, c. 430]: The total tax take from the North sea—that is, royalties, petroleum revenue tax, supplementary petroleum duty and corporation tax attributable to North sea oil and gas production (before any ACT set-off)—was £20.5 billion from May 1979 up to the end of 1982–83.
