§ Mr. David HowellTotal expenditure on roads in 1982–83 is now forecast to be £88 million (8 per cent.) below plans. On motorway and trunk roads, which now 239W include most structural maintenance, it will exceed plans by about £27 million (4 per cent.) On local roads, expenditure is likely to be £115 million (25 per cent.) below plans. Forecasts are not available for individual counties.
