§ Mr. Blackburnasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he now intends to issue guidance to chief officers of police in England and Wales on the issue and use of firearms.
§ Mr. WhitelawGuidelines for the police on the issue and use of firearms were sent to chief officers on 22 March. Copies of the guidelines have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
