§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Defence what assessment he has made of the expectation of life of Harriers (a) in March 19S2 and (b) in March 1983, in relation to those in service in the Falkland Islands.
§ Mr. BlakerThere has been no significant change in the accident rate for the Harrier as a result of the deployment of Harriers and Sea Harriers to the South Atlantic. The aircraft lost during hostilities are being replaced.
