§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Prime Minister, pursuant to the reply of 14 February, Official Report, c. 62–63, whether any Government Department is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Companies (Directors' Report) (Employment of Disabled Persons) Regulations 1980; and if she will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Companies Acts place responsibility for ensuring compliance with these regulations on the directors of the company. However, if a complaint were to be made about non-compliance, the Department of Trade would approach the company concerned and its directors with a view to seeking compliance. No such complaint has so far been received.
