HC Deb 29 March 1983 vol 40 c122W
Mr. Ray Powell

asked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he is satisfied with the facilities available in the National Health Service in Wales for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

Adequate facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases are available at district general hospitals in Wales.

The treatment of end stage renal disease is also available at renal dialysis units in Cardiff and Rhyl, and consideration is currently being given to the provision of a third unit to serve the population of west wales.
