§ Mr. John MooreThe CEGB is carrying out research into this matter and is monitoring the results of similar work carried out overseas. This research is necessarily long term but the CEGB, in line with my predecessors' decision on 11 February 1980 following the public inquiry into a 400 kV overhead line at Innsworth, Gloucestershire, reports to me annually on progress. There is no evidence to date from this research of a health hazard from overhead lines. I shall maintain a close interest in this work.
