§ Mr. MayhewThe Government expect the training of community civil defence volunteers to be undertaken by local authorities' emergency planning officers. A training package for use by emergency planning officers is under consideration. At present no specific material is provided for this purpose, but publications such as "Protect and Survive" and "Nuclear Weapons", and some of the Home Office circulars in the emergency series, will be valuable.
