§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what recent representations the Minister with special responsibility for the disabled has received from the council for the advancement of communication with deaf people: what reply has been sent; if there is any action he will be taking; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RossiI recently met the secretary of the council and have since approved a further grant to it of £10,000. I am consulting colleagues at the Department of Education and Science about the council's plans for the longer term.
