§ 16. Sir David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how much money he is currently allocating to the Medical Research Council for research into spinal injuries.
§ Mr. William SheltonIn the financial year 1981–82, the Medical Research Council spent £765,000 on the support of research that was directly concerned with spinal injuries or was relevant to such injuries. I would add that it operates under a Royal Charter, and allocates its grant-in-aid as it sees fit.
