§ 43. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what calculations have been made by his Department about the effects of the recent change of Government policy on overseas students' fees on the finances of the universities.
§ Mr. WaldegraveDetails of the different student support schemes announced by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on 8 February are being worked out. No reliable estimate can be made about the effect on the finances of universities but much of the extra money available will be paid in fees to universities and other institutions of higher education.
