Mr. Ron Brown(Leith) asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what recent representations he has received calling for a review of Matthew Lygate's sentence.
§ Mr. Allan StewartSince the beginning of this year, my right hon. Friend and I have received 13 representations about Mr. Lygate's case. My right hon. Friend recently accepted a recommendation by the Parole Board for Scotland that Mr. Lygate should be released on licence on 19 September 1983.
