§ 17. Mr. Easthamasked the Minister for Trade what assistance is being given by Her Majesty's Government to help the British film industry.
§ Mr. SproatMy Department administers the Films Acts and in particular the distribution of moneys to eligible films from the British film fund. The National Film Finance Corporation makes loans to makers of films, from money advanced from the British film fund. In addition my right hon. Friends, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister for the Arts make annual grants to the Scottish film council, the British Film Institute and the National Film and Television School.
