§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any plans to revise his Department's circulars concerning Her Majesty's Government's repatriation scheme; whether he will seek to improve the administrative criteria governing the operation of the scheme; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WaddingtonAs I told my hon. Friend in answer to a question on 3 February—[Vol. 36, c.169]—we are making arrangements for the issue of a fresh circular containing updated information. Before issuing the circular we are reviewing the administrative criteria governing the operation of the repatriation scheme under section 29 of the Immigration Act 1971 with a view to seeing what improvements can be made.
