§ Dr. J. Dickson Mabonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will consider the advantages of Glasgow airport and the container terminal at Greenock when he studies the recommendations of the working party on free ports.
§ Sir Geoffrey Howe[pursuant to his reply, 14 March 1983, c. 66]: If the Government decided to implement the recommendations of the working party on free ports, careful consideration would be given to all bids for the experimental facilities envisaged in its report.
