§ Mr. Woodallasked the Minister for Trade if he will consider, in conjunction with the Glass and Glazing Federation, a system of vetting applications for licences under the consumer credit licensing system in order to protect consumers purchasing double glazing.
§ Mr. SproatThe Consumer Credit Act 1974 requires each applicant for a licence to satisfy the Director General of Fair Trading that he is fit to engage in the activities covered by the licence. I see no reason to make any change in the licensing system.
