§ Mr. WigginThe global weather forecasting system at Bracknell was brought into use in April last year. The new world area forecast system of the International Civil Aviation Organisation which depends on this capability is not yet operational. Cost recovery arrangements are under consideration by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
§ Mr. Colvinasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he is satisfied that the internal financial management information systems operated by the Meteorological Office make it possible to ensure that customers are charged only for those services that they actually receive and do not pay for costs properly attributable to other users of meteorological data.
