§ Mr. ButcherYes. Since 1970 over 130 new companies have been established in the south-east and east Anglia in the electronic components and equipment industries. A study conducted in 1980 identified 388 software companies in the Greater London area and 317 in the rest of the south-east and east Anglia. Approximately three quarters of these had been set up since 1970.
