HC Deb 11 March 1983 vol 38 cc525-6W
Miss Richardson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will update the information on the adverse side effects of the injectable contraceptive Depo-Provera as reported to the Committee on Safety of Medicines from March 1980 to the present time.

The following table shows the number of suspected adverse reactions to Depo-Provera reported to the Committee on Safety of Medicines since 1980. No such reports have been received in the first two months of 1983. I should point out that these reports do not necessarily indicate a causal relationship between drug and suspected reaction.
