Mr. Gordon Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the most recent figures available to him in respect of (a) Norway, (b) Sweden, (c) Finland, (d) Denmark, (e) the United Kingdom, (f) Austria and (g) West Germany, showing (i) the number of people registered as unemployed, (ii) the total working population and (iii) the percentage of the working population that is unemployed; and if he will distinguish between numbers of men and women in each case.

Following is the available information. The figures are not directly comparable owing to differences in statistitical definitions and methods of compilation.
