§ Mr. MayhewWe understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the available information on persons arrested in 1982 for a notifiable offence of violence against the person, the victim of which was a police officer, is as given in the attached tables. Corresponding information for the summary offence of "assault on a constable" is not collected centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
