HC Deb 09 March 1983 vol 38 cc432-3W
39. Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what requests have been made by Her Majesty's Government of the Moroccan Government in regard to the proposed Arab League delegation's visit to the United Kingdom; and what response was received.

Mr. Hurd

The proposal that His Majesty King Hassan II of Morocco, in his capacity as chairman of the Fez Commission, should lead an Arab League delegation visit to London was made originally by the Moroccan Government. We warmly welcomed this initiative and we are at the moment discussing arrangements for a programme which we hope will take place on 18 March.
