asked the Secretary of State for Employment how the number of construction workers employed in (a) Southwark, Peckham and (b) the United Kingdom as a whole compares with the corresponding figures for each of the previous 10 years.

The following table gives the number of people registered as unemployed—the old basis of the count—who last worked in the construction industry in the Camberwell jobcentre area—which corresponds closely to Southwark, Peckham—and in the United Kingdom in each of the 10 years to May 1982, the last date for which information is available.
