§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy to what extent he expects that the fall in oil product prices will reduce the price of natural gas for industrial consumers.
§ Mr. GrayThe price of gas on contract to industrial and commercial customers will be frozen until 1 October 1983, as the British Gas Corporation announced on 8 November 1982. These prices are substantially below the price of the equivalent oil products and I do not expect the present level of oil product prices to cause British Gas to alter the prices it charges for gas supplies to industry.
