§ Mr. David HowellNo increase has been made, or is envisaged, in the maximum total weight of locomotives or the trailers which they draw. These are prescribed in regulations 82 and 83 of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1978, two regulations which were not amended by SI 1982, No. 1576. However, the wording of regulation 10 of the latter SI gives rise to an inconsistency with those two regulations, which I intend to put right at the next opportunity.
