§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergThere is no standard dialysis unit and the cost will vary according to the size and type of facilities provided. In view of recent technical advances in treating kidney failure it would be unrealistic to revalue further the figures given in my reply to the hon. Member on 23 February 1982.—[Vol. 18, c.349.] As an example of current costs, a new seven-station hospital dialysis unit, which is being provided by adaptation and extension of an existing ward, is to open shortly at a cost of £511,000.
