§ Mr. Allan StewartIn addition to those made by my hon. Friend representations have been received from North-East Fife district council and from the Royal burgh of St. Andrews community council. No works are necessary for the immediate protection of the ancient monuments; but my Department is concerned for the longer term stability of the area. It has therefore surveyed the erosion and has begun discussions with the local authorities concerned about possible works and how the costs might be met.
